I use it professionally when manoevring my vessel. It would be more pleasant to use if the speed has a smoothing option, meaning it will give the average speed over the last 10, 15 or 20 seconds so it will not fluctuate so much.
Was not bad in the past but the Latest version just loads the help page!!
Looking forward to trying this out in my next dinghy race. I note that the speech generator calls out "kates" for "kts", maybe if it was spelled "knots" it would pronounce the word correctly. It reports degree in the singular, rather than degrees. Also the countdown timer doesn't let you set 12 minutes, for some bizarre reason.
Very accurate and very useful
I have used this app for a while now and I'm very happy with it. In would like one thing though, it would be great if I could put notes on the tracks. (ie name the track, conditions, wind speed...) or have I just not found this function?
App is not working 😕
Used to be great. Now useless. In night mode, big intrusive ad right in field of vision. Probably need to pay (?) to remove that. Anchor alarm has no way of stopping the sound. Force-close works, but then restarting sound is immediately on (GN 10 lite)

Excellent for dinghy racing. When the countdown has finished it switches to speed and heading, heel can be turned off. Countdown would be better with a horn/alarm. Countdown can have speech which is good for 2 man dinghies, but then constantly talks speed which is annoying, we can read the big numbers while concentrating on going fast.
Can someone explain how and when tracking is initiated and if I can have the basic screens during this mode?
